"Russia's 100 Best Shopping Centers" rating was prepared by the Guild of Property Managers and Developers to encourage the development of retail real estate market in Russia and to improve collaboration between concerned market players.
The best shopping centers have been determined by the expert committee of state authorities' representatives, developers, retailers, representatives of management and operational companies, commercial real estate owners, and other leaders of regional and federal institutions connected with real estate.
During the selection the Guild's experts examined over 300 shopping centers. Only operating shopping centers of high quality with a minimum floor space of 5,000 sq m were evaluated. The evaluation criteria have been worked out by the expert group of the Guild of Property Managers and Developers, and they include more than 30 characteristics affecting the property's overall quality as well as employees' and customers' convenience.
The main criteria are location, accessibility, building architecture, decoration, property concept, logistics, engineering facilities, and the property management.
