"Respublika" ("Republic") shopping center was opened on Revolutsii Square in Nizhny Novgorod on July 15th, 2005. It became the biggest and the most contemporary shopping center in the city for the moment with its 34,000 sq m of floor space.
The trademark of the shopping center is its facade produced in a form of a 3,400 sq m stained-glass screen. The reconstructed square in front of "Respublika" has become a favorite recreation place for Nizhny Novgorod residents and visitors. The building of the shopping center was designed by architects from Nizhny Novgorod and Milan. It has totally reformed the site near the railway station and contributed to further development of Nizhny Novgorod historic area of "Staroye Kanavino".
During the years of managing "Respublika", "Stolitsa Nizhny" Group succeeded to turn it into a shopping center of regional significance, a major point on the intersection of important transport routes. That is why the shopping center is refining the city's retail climate and setting high standards for the quality of goods and services.
The anchor tenants of "Respublika" shopping center are "M.Video" consumer electronics store, the store of goods for children "Detskiy Mir", "Edok" fast food restaurant, "Magnit" food supermarket, as well as "L'Etoile", "Electra", "Sportsmen", "OGGI", "Zolla", "O'STIN", "Vesch!", "Colin's", "Peacocks", "Svyaznoy", "Megafon", "Beeline".

In 2005 "Respublika" shopping center became a winner in "Promotion" nomination of Russia's ICSC Shopping Center Rating.
In 2011 "Respublika" shopping center was listed in "Russia's 100 Best Shopping Centers" rating prepared by the Guild of Property Managers and Developers.
