“Novaya Kuznechikha” residential complex is the largest development project in Nizhny Novgorod. The developer plans to implement it by the end of 2029.
Territory of the Residential complex
The total area of the residential complex development is 453 hectares, located in Sovetskiy and Nizhegorodskiy districts of Nizhny Nogorod. Only 229 hectares will be used for the housing as well as social and commercial infrastructure. The rest of the territory will be green areas or technological limitations zones. The developer plans to build here a total of 1.4 mln. sq. m. of housing for at least 70,000 people.
Stages of construction
The developer “Stolitsa Nizhny” plans to create an urban cluster of four neighborhoods here by 2030:
- “Northern” neighborhood, consisting of three stages, the first stage of which is the housing estate “Novaya Kuznechikha” being constructed now,
- “Zarechye” (“Across the river”), located on the eastern part of the bank of the Starka river,
- "Southern”, extending to the Ankudinovsky forest park,
- “Central”, adjacent to the southern boundaries of the village of Novopokrovskoye.
Infrastructure
There are schools, kindergartens, parking, public transport stops, stores and shopping centers, medical facilities and other organizations and service companies designed in addition to apartment buildings.
Construction progress
In 2015, the Urban Planning Council of Nizhny Novgorod region approved the development project for this area, and regional and municipal authorities certified all the necessary documentation for the first two stages of the residential complex. Documentation for the other stages of construction is under development.
Now, the largest area of residential complex “Novaya Kuznechikha” – the “Northern” neighborhood – is being constructed, it will consist of 64 houses. In April 2021, the construction of the second stage of the “Northern” neighborhood started, there will be 16 houses 10 and 25 storeys high.
